Chicago Politics:
Ward 47 Alderman Brendan Reilly (River North and parts of Downtown) was hanging out at Boss's Bar at 10:30 on a Monday. The proprietor, Shay Ghazimoradi, has donated over $24,000 to Reilly's re-election campaigns.
“Out of nowhere this guy ran up on me. He was yelling at me,” Reilly said. “I didn’t understand what he was saying. His pupils were dilated. He was enraged, and before I know it, he’s on top of me, punching me in the face.” Oh yeah?
The Alderman didn't call the police. "It happened so quickly that there’s no way they could have prevented this from happening, I don’t think.”
